Lasik/PRK
Surgery: Lasik
Time required: 1 - 2 hours
Follow up: Next day after surgery, then one week.  Further follow up with your own ophthalmologist

LASIK is one of a number of solutions for correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. With LASIK, the Microkeratome is used to shave the cornea to create a flap. The flap then is opened to expose tissue just below the cornea’s surface. Next, the Excimer laser is used to remove ultra-thin layers from the cornea to reshape it to reduce nearsightedness or farsightedness and astigmatism. Finally, the flap is returned to its original position, without sutures.
Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) is a procedure in which the surface of the cornea is reshaped by an ophthalmologist using an Excimer laser.

Candidate

-Have no corneal diseases or other eye diseases, Thyroid, SLE, and Keloid.
-Not pregnant or breast feeding.
-Do not take any medication that affects hormones, such as, birth control, or acne medication.

Before Operation

Please remove your contact lenses from your eyes (3 days before operation for soft contact lenses and 7 days for hard contact-lenses) -You must present yourself neat & clean before surgery (take bath, wash hair, no cosmetics/perfume, no earrings) for uninterruptible laser performances. -Wear a loose shirt so you can take off your shirt easily after operation. (It is very important to keep eye-shields untouched) -Do not forget to bring someone with you (so someone can guide you home after operation.)

On the operation-date, if you suffer from any kind of illness, such as, fever, cough, eye inflammation/irritation, etc. please notify us before operation.
