Cheek implants elevate the cheekbones which in turn changes the symmetry of the face and other features to provide a more youthful appearance.
The surgery takes about 30 to 45 minutes which entails the surgeon creating a pocket for the implant to be inserted. The incision may be made at the lower eyelid or inside your upper lip.
If the procedure is undertaken at the same time as other surgery such as a face lift or eyelid surgery, the implant may be inserted through incisions made during these procedures.
Note: Surgical procedures have benefits and risks. Consider this option of overseas treatment carefully. Please note insurance for elective procedures overseas is not available. Discuss this with your doctor if you have any concerns and ask if this is right for you. A website review of your case would not replace the individual assessment in person by a healthcare professional. Suitable travel insurance cover should be obtained.
